The ‘Namer Bayaar’ (Hebrew for “a leopard in the forest”) plant nursery was founded in 1998 by Michael Tamir and Yossef Ner, two well-experienced plant horticulturists who took the initiative to start their own nursery. With a small plot of land (only 10,000 m2 meters), one pick-up truck and a container that served as their office and tool shed, they set off to create a high-quality plant nursery. Today, almost 20 years after, the “Leopards” (as the two are referred to) are running a remarkable 90,000m2 nursery from which there are 14,000m2 of Greenhouses, 8000m2 of Net-houses and a 68,000m2 open-air growing area. Furthermore, with their own lines of production, sales, and distribution, nowadays the Leopards team consists of more than 20 highly trained personnel. Our focal proficiency includes the growth of Flowering Climbers along with various types of shrubs, roses, vines and a section of Shaped Evergreen Shrubs which are designated mainly for export. Since the planting of our first plant until this very day, we in Namer Bayaar consider hard work as the standard condition which allows us to grow the finest plants.
